Percussion Audition Information

Percussion (BM)

l  Upper grade solo selection and/or orchestral excerpt to display applicant’s technical ability and fundamental technique.

l  All applicants must demonstrate proficiency in all three primary percussion areas:

ü  snare drum,

ü  timpani

ü  keyboard percussion.

l  Two octave major scales on mallet instrument.

l  Sight-reading is required on snare drum and mallets.
