Voice Audition Information

Please send a repertoire list and your music (double-sided with 3-hole punches on 8.5" x 11" paper) one month in advance to the address listed below.  Please be sure that your name and intended degree program is printed on ALL documents:

M.M. Voice Performance

l  One recitative and aria from an opera or oratorio

l  Three songs or arias

l  Please do not duplicate amongst the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionistic, or Contemporary periods

l  Each selection must be in a different language.  (English, German, French, or Italian)

l  All works are to be performed from memory

l  An accompanist is provided for on-campus auditions

l  There is NOT a prescreening requirement

Vocal Arts (MM)

l  One recitative and aria from an opera or oratorio

l  Three songs or arias

l  Please do not duplicate amongst the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionistic, or Contemporary periods

l  Each selection must be in a different language.  (English, German, French, or Italian)

l  The English selection may be from musical theater repertoire

l  All works are to be performed from memory
