VOICE (BM)

A prescreening video is required. To accommodate prescreening, applicants are strongly urged to submit applications well before the deadline of December 1. Each piece of repertoire must be unedited and recorded separately.

Accompaniment is required for voice applicants, both on recordings and in live auditions. CIM will provide a pianist for live Cleveland auditions; applicants must provide their own pianist at regional auditions.

PRESCREENING REQUIREMENTS:

Same as audition requirements.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: (must be performed from memory)

  • Applicants must prepare from the classical vocal repertoire three selections -- one in Italian, one in English, and one in any language of choice.
  • Each applicant performing live in Cleveland will be scheduled for 30 minutes of warm-up time immediately before the audition. At that time, the applicant will bring copies of the audition repertoire and meet with the pianist.
