Percussion Audition Information

Percussion (MM & DMA)

Admission to the program of study for the MA (percussion pedagogy), MM (percussion performance) and DMA (percussion performance) degrees will be determined by an audition committee on the basis of the applicant's ability to demonstrate sufficient performing ability to fulfill the requirements of the degree program.

Audition Requirements

1. l  Demonstrate proficiency in sight reading.

   l  Demonstrate a level of performance ability acceptable to the faculty in all major areas of percussion performance (i.e., snare drum, mallet percussion, timpani, multiple percussion, and auxiliary percussion).

   l  Submit a repertoire list and provide programs and reviews (if available) of concerts performed.
