Percussion Audition Information

Percussion (MM, AD, DMA)

Snare Drum
 •Three orchestral excerpts
 •One Delecluse etude
 •Sight reading

Timpani
 •Three orchestral excerpts
 •Hochrainer etude or comparable
 •Sight reading

Xylophone
 •Three orchestral excerpts
 •One solo piece

Glock
 •Three orchestral pieces

Marimba
 •Perform two pieces in contrasting styles

Examples: one piece could be by J.S. Bach and the other could be a contemporary piece; Or two contemporary pieces but in two different composition styles.

*Please bring your own sticks and mallets to the auditions. Sticks and mallets will not be provided. Only instruments are provided for you.
