BM Repertoire

The repertoire for the prescreening and live audition is the same.

Applicants must prepare three songs from memory from the classical art song repertoire.  Of the three selections, one must be in Italian and one in English.  The third selection may be in Italian, English, German or French and should be chosen from the art song literature in those languages.

The auditioning faculty is interested in vocal quality, musicality, musicianship and expression. Sight-singing will be included in live auditions.

Accompanist

Accompanists are provided for voice auditions in Boston. Applicants should bring legible and easily managed piano scores to the audition. This can be from a book, a separately bound copy, or double-sided music in a binder. It is not necessary to send scores in advance.
