Voice Audition Information

Prescreen Recording Requirements

All prospective undergraduate voice applicants must submit a prescreen recording in order to be considered for a live audition. Prescreen recordings should be submitted as a part of the music application. Video recording is preferred.

Audition notifications will be sent via email on or before December 22, 2018.

Prescreen and Live Audition Requirements (BM, BA, BME, and minor)

*If you are selected for a live audition, the repertoire you choose for your live audition may be different than your prescreen recording.*

From memory:

Two contrasting songs chosen from solo vocal literature (songs or arias of composers such as Gluck, Handel, Purcell, Mozart, Schubert, Faurè, Barber, or Rorem)

Musical theater songs or self-accompanied "pop" songs are not acceptable for an audition. Please provide music for accompanist if you are invited for a live audition.
