Dear Kathleen:
The Flute faculty have reviewed your pre-screening materials and invite you to audition for The Juilliard School. Congratulations!
Due to the number of applicants invited, we do not need two audition days; therefore, we are not holding Flute auditions on Sunday, March 1. Your audition for The Juilliard School has been scheduled for Monday, March 2, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Please note that, due to scheduling limitations, we can hold auditions for your department on this day only-it will not be possible to audition on any other day, or at any other point in the year. Also, as all available audition slots are full, we are unable to make any changes to the audition schedule.
Information about audition procedures, local hotels, etc., is posted on the Juilliard website. Check here periodically for updates. (Accompanist information will not be posted on the Web site, but will be e-mailed to applicants for whom it is relevant as soon as it is finalized.)
Some important notes:
All Flute auditions will be held at The Juilliard School in New York.
Please remember to review the required audition repertoire carefully.
The faculty at your audition will expect you to perform the audition repertoire you listed in your application. You may review the information that you submitted by logging into your application (however, you will not be able to change it there). Your repertoire must fulfill our audition requirements (see above). Please note that incorrect or insufficient repertoire may affect your consideration for admission.
If you have any questions regarding your audition repertoire send them to repertoire@juilliard.edu.
If you have any changes to your audition repertoire you must bring 5 (five)* copies of your updated Audition Repertoire Change Form with you to your audition. (List your full audition program on the form and be sure your repertoire changes satisfy the published audition requirements.) *You may wish to review our Web site for the number of faculty in your major, so you can bring the appropriate number of copies.
If you wish to update your teacher preferences, you may locate the Teacher Preference Form here. (Click on "MUSIC Division Audition Information" and scroll down for the form.)
You may log into your application to confirm receipt of application materials. Due to the large volume of mail, it may take up to four weeks from receipt of materials for them to be tracked. All required supplemental materials (transcripts; TOEFL, if applicable; letters of recommendation, etc.) must be received by February 15, 2015.
If you are an International applicant residing outside the U.S.A. and require a letter in support of an application for a Prospective Student Visa please e-mail us here to let us know.
