Mason Gross School of Music에 피아노전공으로 편입하려면 최소 12학점 이상을 타 대학에서
수강을 하고 학점이 최소 C학점 이상이 되야 편입학생으로의 자격이 주어집니다. 학점인정은
편입생이 입학허가를 받은 후 일반과목과 피아노전공 관련과목에 대한 평가가 이루어지는데, 이는 전공관련 교수님과
학교 academic officer들에 의해서 행해지며, 여타 미국대학과
마찬가지로 최대 2학년 (sophomore) 까지만 인정이 됩니다.
2학년, 또는 3학년으로 편입이 되는가 혹은 신입생으로 공부를 해야 하는가는 수강한
실기과목, private lesson, 오디션 때 보여진 예술적 재능, theory
placement testing, 그리고 piano와 aural
testing에 의해서 결정됩니다. 편입생은 일반적으로 2학년, 그리고 드물게는 3학년으로 편입이 되며, 일부는
신입생 레벨로 학업을 시작해야 합니다. 그리고 이는 여타 미국대학의 편입제도와 비슷합니다.
편입지원
원서접수 마감일은 2월 1일로 되어 있지만 실기전공은 오디션을 해야
하기 때문에 지원학기 전 해 12월 1일까지 원서 접수할 것을 학교에서
강력하게 recommend 하고 있습니다. 입학허가는 rolling base로 하며 1월에서 4월 1일까지 지원자에게 통보하며, 장학금수혜 여부는 3월
중 통보합니다.

Performance Concentration (All works

by Bach, Handel, Scarlatti, or a comparable composer from the Baroque period
• A complete sonata by Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven or Schubert
• A work by Mendelssohn, Schumann, Brahms, Chopin, Liszt, or a comparable composer from the 19th Century.
• A short work by Debussy, Ravel, Copland, Barber, or a comparable composer from the 20th or 21st century
• An étude or study from any style period
• Sight-reading skills will be tested.

• Live/On-Campus - Preferred
• Recorded - Accepted from those who live greater than 300 miles away from campus or granted special permission by the faculty.
