TOEFL score reports are due on December
1. The Yale School of Music will not admit any student who has not met our
TOEFL score requirement. It is possible for students to participate in the
audition process before passing the TOEFL, if necessary; however, we will not
extend an offer of admission to any student who has not met our TOEFL
requirement before March 1.
TOEFL 점수가 미니멈을 넘지 못해도 12월 1일까지 TOEFL 점수
제출하고 prescreen이 통과하면 오디션을 볼 수 있습니다. 3월 1일까지 TOEFL minimum 점수를 제출하지 못하면 입학허가가

you are sure the score report will be delivered to us on time.

As per University
of Illinois Graduate
College policy, any student admitted with a TOEFL score of between 79 and
102 will be accorded Limited Status Admission and required to take the
University’s English
Placement Test, administered by the Department of Linguistics, upon arrival
at the University (as soon as possible after arrival, but AT LEAST two business
days prior to meeting with their advisor or departmental representative to
select courses).
Students must
successfully complete any English as a Second
Language (ESL) courses prescribed by the examination results BEFORE they
will be permitted to enroll in graduate academic courses. (Students should
consult with their Graduate Advisor and/or the Assistant Director for Graduate
Studies in the School of Music to select appropriate coursework while enrolled
in ESL courses.)
Tuition costs for
ESL courses are similar to those for other courses; however, credits earned in
ESL courses do not meet degree requirements. Students required to enroll in ESL
coursework should therefore anticipate a longer and more expensive degree
program. Failure to successfully complete any required ESL coursework will
delay degree progress and may result in termination from the degree program.
Applicants with
low TOEFL scores, who lack confidence in their English ability, or who are not
financially prepared to take on the additional time and cost of supplemental
English-language instruction at the University of Illinois may wish to delay
their applications until they can demonstrate adequate English-language
proficiency.
The Jacobs school of Music TOEFL requirement

All applicants whose native language is not
English must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and submit
an acceptable score (see TOEFL requirements) by March 1, 2013 to the
Jacobs School of Music Office of Admissions in order to receive full
consideration for Fall 2013 admission (see address at the bottom of this page).
To ensure timely processing of your TOEFL score, please mail your score
directly to the Jacobs School of Music (score report can also be faxed or
scanned and emailed), rather than through your agency. The minimum TOEFL result
required for the BM and MM degree program are a paper-based score of 560, a
computer-based minimum of 223, and an internet-based minimum of 84. The minimum
TOEFL result for the DM degree program is a paper-based score of 600, a
computer-based minimum of 250, and an internet-based minimum of 100. The
minimum TOEFL result for the Performer/Artist Diploma is a paper-based score of
510, a computer-based minimum of 183, and an internet-based minimum of 65.
There are no exceptions to these requirements.
NOTE: DM
applicants in piano and all graduate applicants in choral conducting who are
required to submit a TOEFL score must do so by December 1, 2012.

> 2014년 미국음대진학을 생각하는 피아노전공의 학생입니다. 작년부터 예일, 미시간, 일리노이, 인디애나 등의 학교들을 생각하고 준비했기 때문에 Prescreen은 어느정도 준비가 되었는데, TOEFL은 아직 점수가 나오지 않았습니다. 90점 이상은 받아야 한다는 것은 아는데 언제까지 제출해야 하는지 사람들 마다 하는 말이 틀려서요. 조언 부탁합니다.
