Voice Audition Information

Voice (MM)

Prescreening

l  Two selections in contrasting styles performed from memory with live accompaniment

l  Based on successful completion of the prescreening, the applicant will be invited to register for an on-campus audition.

On-Campus Audition

l  A 15-minute (minimum) recital, with formal program to include stylistically and historically balanced content. The auditioning committee will make a selection from the materials presented.

​

l  A minimum of three languages must be represented.

​

l  Both operatic and art song repertoire may be presented at the audition.

​

l  Memorization is required.

​

l  Invited singers must audition with live accompaniment and are encouraged to provide their own accompanist. A limited

   number of accompanists are available at the applicant’s expense.
