Voice & Opera Audition Information

 

STEP 1: PRESCREENING

A prescreening VIDEO submitted to Acceptd, is required for all graduate programs in Voice and Opera (Graduate Certificate in Music Performance, MM, and DMA).

The submission must include a minimum of five selections (including at least one aria), with one piece each in:

  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • English.

Once you have passed the pre-screening, you will be invited for a live audition.

STEP 4: AUDITION

Complete a live audition on the date you selected! (If unable to attend a live audition, please contact the faculty member for your instrument/area).


Audition Requirements: An accompanist will be provided. You do not need to send music in advance.

Graduate Certificate in Music Performance and MM in Voice or Opera:

A maximum of six selections covering the major languages (French, German, Italian, English), including an aria from either an oratorio or opera.

DMA in Voice:

A full 4550 minute recital program to include song literature as well as at least one opera and one oratorio aria. The repertoire must include the four standard languages of English, Italian, French, and German.
