Conducting Audition Information

Prescreen is required on the following: Choral Conducting, Classical Flute, Classical Tuba, Classical Viola, Classical Violin, Jazz Instrumentalists/Vocalists, Keyboard Degrees, Orchestral/Wind Conducting

All applicants must submit a prescreening audition, uploaded to SlideRoom, by December 1.

Choral Conducting Requirements

The pre-screening must include:

• An unedited video that demonstrates 10 minutes of rehearsal and 10 minutes of performance

Instrumental/Orchestral Conducting Requirements

The pre-screening must include:

• An unedited video that demonstrates 5-7 minutes of conducting rehearsal and at least one complete work conducted in performance
• An unedited recording (audio or video) demonstrating a high level of proficiency on one’s primary instrument

General Information

• All Orchestral Conducting and Choral Conducting degree programs will be closed for Fall 2018 admission
• All other application requirements can be found under Application & Program Requirements
• If invited to campus for a live audition, students will receive information directly from the department
