Composition (MM) 

Prescreening portfolio requirement 

l  Three to five of the applicant's strongest compositions demonstrating technical facility in a variety of genres. Recent works are preferred. 

l  Materials should include scores in PDF and may include recordings. 

l  Undergraduate applicants invited for an interview must also perform an audition to be considered for admission. 

l  Applicants who pass the prescreening are scheduled for an live and in-person interview with the composition faculty on the ASU Tempe Campus.  

l  The interview day includes an ear training test and theory exam, which are required to be taken for teaching assistantship eligibility
