Thank you for submitting an application for entrance into the MM program in Piano Performance at The University of Texas at Austin Butler School of Music! You have been passed through the prescreening round, and as requested, your admission/scholarship audition is scheduled for February 1, 2014.

AUDITION TIME ASSIGNMENTS
On January 24, 2014 you will receive an audition time block assignment by email. The time block is a two-hour window of time in which you can expect your audition. You will receive an exact audition time at check-in on the day of your audition. Audition check-in is open 8:30am – 3pm and auditions are typically scheduled between 9am – 6pm. We urge you make yourself available the entire day to explore the BSOM and UT Austin.
If you have a strong need for a specific audition time due to conflicts or travel arrangements please reply to this email to explain your situation. We will do our best to fulfill your request if it is received BY EMAIL at least TWO WEEKS BEFORE your audition. It is highly unlikely that we will be able to accommodate requests submitted on or after January 24, 2014.

FRIDAY RECEPTION
If you plan to be in Austin through the evening after your audition, please join Butler School of Music representatives for some light refreshments and conversation! A reception will take place in the BSOM from 4:30pm – 5:30pm.
APPLICATION INFORMATION
December 1 is the deadline for application materials to be received in the Graduate and International Admissions Center (GIAC). GIAC keeps track of your application and fee, transcripts, statement of purpose, letters of recommendation and test scores (GRE and TOEFL, if applicable). Check your status with GIAC regularly. My Status (https://utdirect.utexas.edu/apps/adm/mystatus/) is a secure online tool that lets you follow the progress of your admission application and related processes from initial submission to your final admission decision and beyond. Materials submitted directly to the BSOM or through Acceptd will not appear in My Status.
